Esref Turkmen received his BS degree in Electronics and Communication Engineering from the Istanbul Technical University in 2015. In 2016, he started working towards his MSc. degree in Sabanci University where he is currently studying Microwave/Millimeter-wave integrated circuit design. His work mainly focuses on design of SiGe BiCMOS mm-wave radiometers/measurement systems. His areas of research interest also include mm-wave ICs, SiGe-based phased arrays and 5G communication circuits and systems. He received IEEE MTT-s Undergraduate/Pre-graduate Scholarship Award for his work in Voltage-Controlled-Oscillators in 2015. He achieved 1st place in IEEE IMS Student Design Competition on 'Tunable X-Band Oscillator using Planar Resonator' in 2015. He has several journal and proceeding papers in IEEE.
